The Asia Water Council (AWC) participated in the 91st Board Meeting of the World Water Council (WWC) and the Cairo Water Week, held from 10–12 October 2025 in Cairo, Egypt. Represented by Dr. Yongdeok Cho, Secretary General of AWC, the Council actively engaged in high-level discussions shaping the future of global water governance and reaffirmed its growing presence in the international water community.
The 23rd AWC Board of Council (BoC) Meeting & Technical Seminar was successfully held on November 5–6, 2025, in Hanoi, Vietnam, co-organized by the Asia Water Council (AWC), the Northern Division for Water Resources Planning and Investigation (NVWATER), and the Vietnam Water and Environment Association (VWEA). The event brought together around 200 participants, including government officials, AWC Board Members, international stakeholders, and leading water-technology companies.
The Asia Water Council (AWC) participated in the Korea International Water Week (KIWW) 2025, held on 12–15 November at EXCO in Daegu, Republic of Korea. AWC joined the Opening Ceremony alongside high-level representatives from governments, international organizations, and the water sector, and collaborated with K-water to operate a joint promotional booth showcasing AWC Water Project initiatives, international cooperation programs, and youth engagement activities.

The Asia Water Council (AWC) participated actively in the 30th UN Climate Change Conference (COP30), held from 10–21 November 2025 in Belém, Brazil. Bringing together delegates from 193 Parties, international organizations, NGOs, and industry leaders, COP30 welcomed over 60,000 participants to accelerate global climate action. This year’s negotiations centered on expanding climate finance, enhancing mitigation and adaptation implementation, reforming carbon market mechanisms, and promoting system-level transitions across energy, industry, and finance.
On December 2, the Asia Water Council (AWC) successfully hosted a special session entitled “Disruptive Innovation of Water Management with Digital Technologies” at the 19th World Water Congress.
